"First Impressions"

Well hello there. I'm reaching out in hope of forming a true and honest friendship. I'm currently in the middle of paying my debt to society. I'm 41 years young, incarcerated at a maximum facility where I spend 23 hours a day locked in my cell. So as you can imagine my world can be a lonely place. I'm easygoing, quick to laugh, and value the little things in life that most people take for granted. If you think you might find me interesting, it would really brighten my day to hear from you. Feel free to ask me anything you'd like to know as well as tell me anything you might wish to share with me. Your letter will be answered the same day I receive it. With that I wish you well and thank you for your time and consideration.

"THE OTHER SIDE"
Wanting to cry
having no tears
acting so tough
filled with fears
wishing someone was by my side
standind all alone
longing for freedom
surrounded by concrete and stone
so many emotions
wanting to share
turning to speak
finding no one there
so another day starts
the sun has risen
finding me all alone
inside of this prison
and as I sit here in a cell surrounded by razor wire, guard towers,   
and stone.  I am looking for a friend to make me feel not so alone.
I am searching for someone who is honest, open, and kind because in   
me these same traits are exactly what you'll find.
I am just looking for someone to bring a smile to my face, someone   
to help me temporarly escape from this place.
So if you feel your friendship can be loyal and true, then I truly   
look forward to hearing from you.
