"Friendship Call"

Welcome, welcome one and all. I hereby extend this
Friendship call, to all the good people in the world --
Reach out to me as I dwell in this cell, inside America,
The land of the free...extend a hand in friendship to me..." 

I'm a loyal friend; I have a sense of humor and a positive attitude. I'm a hair stylist, Spanish is my second language, and, I've graduated from beauty college, community college, and state university.

Prior to my imprisonment I lived in Portland, Oregon and worked in a beauty salon. The shooting which has resulted in my incarceration occurred outside that beauty salon.

Despite the fact that I acted in self defense, I was nevertheless convicted of aggravated murder and now sit in prison without a parole release date. As bleak as that may seem, my fate has not been permanently sealed; and, right now my case is being reviewed on appeal (the Post-Conviction Court will issue a ruling any day).

As I remain in prison fighting in the courts to have my liberties reinstated, I would appreciate any letters and/or inspiring words; and, of course cards and pictures would be great, too; so, ladies and gentlemen, fellow Oregonians, fellow Americans and good people around the world -- if you have a mind to, drop me a line or two; and, I will write back to you...
