It is not easy to better oneself in prison, especially when it is so easy to lose yourself, but I strive every day to make something better of myself. I have taught myself to draw, am learning a new language, and am learning about the legal system while my case is on appeal. I am also strengthening my relationship with my family, and working on my faith and bond with God.

I am Mark E. Weyand. I am 5'8", 150 lbs, with blonde hair and blue eyes, and I have a relaxed, easygoing attitude. I was born and raised in Northern California, and after graduating from high school, I joined the ARMY. Growing up, I always had a curious and adventurous spirit about me, and was always happiest outside, whether hiking, biking, or camping, I enjoyed it all. I joined the ARMY with hopes of travel and adventure, instead, I was sent to Fort Lewis in Washington where I began to make a series of bad decisions that led me to where I am today, but I am wiser for them.

I have shown you a small glimpse into my life, and I am always looking for more ways to learn and grow in knowledge and in spirit, and since you have read this far, something has intrigued you about me, so go ahead and pick up that pen and paper, and let's open up the lines of communication, and let's learn and grow in this life together.
